When Louis Pang announced From Ordinary to Extra Ordinary in January 08, I was stoked. With a heartbeat, I registered, and made the payment, and didn’t look back since.
Fast forward 6 months later, here I was, spent 2 1/2 days weekend with 22 other great photographers and Louis and his team. It was what it was - the way I hope it would be. Meeting so many many brilliant photographer in this business, learning what we all have so much passion for.
Here are some shots taken during the workshop. These photographs are classroom work during the workshop and they are not my part of my portfolio, just so you know :).

While louis explaining one of his slides. Which of cos, in his words, I saw this really beautiful side light. Oh my god louis, you gotta stay there, don’t move. The light is sooo beautiful… ![]()

A session using natural lightsource to lit up the subject.

Martina trying to get some malaysia sun off her face, while photographing.

The infamous acrobatic move by all photographers. The things we do for a great shot!

This was in the midst of Louis posing Lorraine, our model.

The 2nd day shoot out where we drag our models for shoots everywhere. Let me tell you this, I must say all the models did a wonderful job. I can’t help but thinking how much pressure they were in having 23 big guns pointing at them, giving our monkey talks to make them kiss elegently , yada yada. This photo was not pose by me.

This was taken during my turn of directing the models. Oh gosh, I couldn’t even photograph people standing straight before this, and look at me now. Oh, I am so proud!

This was when louis took charge, same location, same model. Must have sprinkle some stardust to the models when suddenly they just fall in to this beautiful frame. I am so envy already! Argh…

Commondos at war. Nikons and canons.
Such a great outing, such great workshop. It has been a great weekend altogether. I am so looking forward for my next wedding shoot.
It’s been the blast gang. Thank you Louis for putting this together and your help in pushing us to be better. The rest of the gang, you’ve made the workshop so happening, we didn’t want to go off until the team at Click Magazine fell dead silence when Zach, Nigel and I stop yacking. We knew it was then time to go off! :).
Greeting future brides and grooms,
So, you’ve hired your wedding photographer? Great! Ever wonder how you would be able to take better wedding photographs on your auspicious day?

I’ve been meeting up with many many new couples whom are looking for photographers for their wedding day. Often than not, we spring out topics regarding what to prepare for photographs on the actual wedding day so photographers can create their magic.
How To Take Better Wedding Photography are tips that I often share with my clients when we meet up to discuss what we can do together to create these little magical photography moments that we are so good at doing.
The thing is you see, great photographs springs out like mushroom if you plan for it. When I say plan for your shoot, I simply suggest to put action in place prior to event, so event will fall in place.
I often request my clients to have their closest people around them during the preparation of her bridal make up sessions. These close family and friend will vibrant up the environment during these 1 to 2 hour session.

Not only it is ideal to have someone to entertain you during these mundane hours, they are there to live up the environment. Their laughter, their jokes, their extra pair of helping hands makes the hour goes by faster. Their animated self, their walkabout, their actions and yours create these magical photos which tell great stories in your wedding at the end of the day.

Hey, at idealwedding, we even have photographs to tell you the tale *wink*.

Moment like this bound to happen when you plan for it. Your witty friends doing those witty things are captured. These photos are planned, but they are not posed, and not scripted. They tell really good story, and that is why my clients love them.
So, let your closest friend to come during your preparations. Heck, some even stay over at your place! Just because they can. Have some fun. It’s once in a lifetime!
